When accessing and using this website you are agreeing to my terms and conditions.

PAYMENT

Payments are processed securely on my website by a third party secure payment processor. Payments are taken via Paypal, where you can either pay using your Paypal account or by debit card or credit card if you don't have a Paypal account. If you don't have a paypal account, simply press the guest button when you are directed to the paypal payment page. If you choose to pay with a PayPal cheque, funds may not clear for up to 2 weeks. Your purchase can not be sent until funds clear, so please contact me if there is any delay or if you encounter a problem with PayPal. Your card details are not stored on my website, nor can The Crooked Style view them at any time. All prices shown are in (£'s) sterling and I reserve the right to alter these at any time.

POSTAGE AND SHIPPING

All items for sale are made to order and will be shipped within 5 business days of receipt of your payment. For special order items and commissions, please allow a longer time after receipt of payment before the items are shipped. I can discuss timescales with you when I am dealing with your order, and will make sure you are satisfied with the arrangements. If there is any delay I will let you know as soon as possible after you have placed your order. If you require something super quick, please contact me and I will see what I can do to help. Your order will be shipped to your Paypal address /address provided, so please get in touch if you would like it delivered to a different address.

UK POST Standard UK post is via First Class Post and may take up to 5 business days, but can take longer. Special items, made- to- order, commissions, limited editions and unique pieces will be sent by Recorded Delivery, Next Day Delivery or very occasionally, by courier if the item is large, heavy liable to break. We can discuss postage options when you make your order.

REST OF WORLD Standard shipping is by Airmail and may take up to 25 business days, but can take longer. If you would prefer a specific service, please contact me and I will be happy to provide a quote. Special items, made- to- order, commissions, limited editions and unique pieces will be sent by courier or International Signed For. Each postage option can be discussed with you when dealing with your order.

Customers are responsible for payment of any import taxes, duties or levies resulting from their order.  Please note, I am really sorry, but I am unable to state anything other than the true value of goods on customs declarations.

 

RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS

RETURNS It is very important to me that you are happy with your purchase, and I offer a return policy on standard items like digital prints, cards and most jewellery items (this does not apply to earrings and any personalised or specially designed items or special orders, all of which are non-returnable). You have 14 days from the time of receiving your order to notify me of any items you wish to return to me for a refund. I need to receive your returns within 10 days of your notifying me of your wish to return the item/s. I am unable to accept returns after four weeks have passed from the date of receipt of the order. Items must be returned in their original packaging and the buyer is responsible for return postage. Please use Recorded Delivery for any returns as I cannot be held responsible for any returned items that are lost or damaged in transit. I will refund you the cost of your order, via paypal, when I receive the returned items.

EXCHANGES Any exchanges will be handled as a new sale and a return, so you will be required to order your preferred item from the website as usual. If you then return the original item to me, I can refund you for the item via PayPal as soon as I receive the item. It is best to use Recorded Delivery for any returns, as I am afraid I can't be held responsible for any returned items that are lost in transit. The buyer is responsible for return postage costs, the exception being if the item is faulty.

I will replace free of charge (subject to stock) any faulty items, providing this is notified to me within 7 days of receipt of the item and all parts are returned safely packaged. In the unusual event that a faulty or substandard item has been sent in error, you will receive a like-for-like exchange or if you prefer, a refund instead. Please let me know and I will then either send you the replacement item, or refund you the cost of the item and postage costs incurred to you when I have received the returned item. Faults can occur from time to time, particularly as I am working with many different materials such as metal findings, chain, glue, glazes and paints and small things like changes of temperature can affect glues and glazes. If a problem does occur, I will do all I can to rectify it and would be very grateful for your understanding should this occur.

CANCELLATIONS If you decide to cancel your order, please can you notify me as soon as possible before shipping. I will refund you the total cost of your order including shipping, via Paypal. If you wish to cancel and I have already sent the order, then please see my returns policy. I will be able to refund you the cost of the order once returned but not the return postage costs. For special and commissioned orders there is a 50% deposit paid in advance which is non refundable.

The return address for unwanted/returned items will be included in your order.

LOST ITEMS

I have to follow Royal Mail's procedures for lost mail.  For standard UK deliveries, an item is not considered to be be lost until 15 working days after the item was due to have arrived, and for international deliveries, 25 working days, but this can be longer. Please contact your local Post Office or depot in the first instance if an item has not arrived in the expected time. The postman might not always leave a card if the parcel won't fit through the letterbox, so it is always worth double checking with your neighbours, local depot or Post Office. Also, do check and see if your order has been left in sheds, behind bushes, under mats or inside your rubbish bin. ( The last one is a true story that happened to me).

PRIVACY POLICY

I am committed to protecting your privacy and will only use the information that I collect about you to process your order. The type of information I will hold about you includes your name, address, phone number and email. I use this information to dispatch your order and for notifications about your order, such as processing and dispatch info etc. I will not use this information other than to process and dispatch your order.

COOKIES

My website uses cookies to store and collect information regarding your usage of the website. Cookies are small files or pieces of information stored by the browser on the hard drive of your computer or device. At no point do our cookies store your personal details or payment information, nor do we pass it to any third party. The cookies are used to put in place a system which allows you to browse and add products to the shopping cart, make payment for your purchases and track my sales and site visitors.

It is possible to turn off your cookies through your browser settings. However, please note that this will affect the functionality and experience of my website. To learn how to turn your cookie settings off, please visit the help section of your website browser.

JEWELLERY CARE AND INFORMATION

All jewellery should be worn with care. It is advisable to protect all jewellery from contact with water, e.g. while swimming, showering etc. Please take care not to allow your jewellery to come into contact with cleaning materials, perfumes or toiletries. Most metals and metal platings will oxidise and the colour may become dull with time. You can prevent some oxidisation by keeping the item in a sealed bag. Most silver plated items will eventually yellow with time, so give them a very gentle polish with a silver polishing cloth, and they should re-gain their old shine.

Fabric and paper-based jewellery must never be allowed to come into contact with liquids. Alot of my jewellery is made by setting a glazed paper image under glass, and so it is therefore not waterproof. Do take care, especially with the rings as it is very easy to forget you are wearing them when washing your hands. All the metal parts I use are lead and nickel free. 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

All new chain, findings and jewellery parts are lead and nickel free.Vintage jewellery stock is made from the metals of the time and there will be a description for each piece. Please keep all the items you buy, away from babies and small children. The jewellery in particular is made from small parts and could be a choking hazard.

ARTWORK CARE AND INFORMATION

For the best care of prints, you should ideally frame them behind glass and keep them out of direct sunlight. This goes for all types of artwork, not just digital prints. I use pigment based inks on archival or heavyweight Epson paper, so the giclee prints I sell on my website are high quality and should be very long lasting. Any kind of artwork whether it is an oil painting, watercolour, photograph, print or collage, will gradually fade if exposed to sunlight, so do be careful where you choose to display your artwork. 

CARDS AND PACKAGING AND RECYCLING

I try and use recycled packaging wherever possible. So all my jewellery and ring boxes are made from recycled card. The cards and envelopes and the backboards for my brooches are also made from recycled card.  I am looking for more ways to use recycled products in my work and will continue to do so where I can.

SPECIAL ORDERS AND COMMISSIONS

Special orders are welcome. Please contact me to discuss your requirements. A 50% deposit is payable on all custom orders, this is non-refundable in the event of the customer cancelling or changing the order after the deposit has been paid and the commission has begun. Special orders fall outside the usual postage costs and shipping will be calculated by weight and size.

WHOLESALE ORDERS TO SHOPS

I do already supply a few shops with wholesale orders and I may be able to accommodate more small wholesale orders, so please get in touch with me for my wholesale prices and for the quantities you require. I don't do sale or return on wholesale orders. Wholesale orders fall outside of the usual postage offer and shipping will be calculated by weight and size.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS 

I reserve the right to update and make alterations to these terms at any time to ensure I keep updated with current policy and legislation. By using my website you accept that you will be responsible for ensuring you stay updated with any changes to my terms.
